Dream Machine

Steve's favorite "wedding gift" (as in the one he got himself) arrived at the end of this week--a Blendtec as seen in Costco, smoothie stores, and probably on TV. He's hasn't been hiding his enthusiasm for the industrial blending machine since it arrived. We gave it a first try this weekend with a mango-strawberry-orange-banana smoothie. It was a hit! I foresee a smoothie-saturated summer ahead.

your pictures are so cute, and that smoothie looks so good. Really - makes me want to make one, but I don't have all the ingredients. Darn. Why'd I open your blog???

Steve only tolerates the finest in kitchen equipment. By the way, I notice that Steve is listed as a team member. Does that mean he will actually post on the blog? Or is he in there as more of an advisory role?

Mmmm... smoothies! What is it with men and buying gifts for themselves? Ryan does that all the time, too.

Have you tried making hot soup with that thing yet?

When are we going to make Boysenberry jam?

Did you get a good deal on it? How much do those run?

They are $400 on amazon and at target. You don't have to pay tax on amazon. We put it on our target registry and got a 10% discount and then used target gift cards to reduce the cost. Well worth the cost.

We made potato soup on saturday with it.
