I am a crazy person when it comes to losing things. I agonize over losing even the smallest things--for me it's the ultimate feeling of being irresponsible. For example: once while Steve and I were dating he was helping me pack for a skiing trip. I had a particular chapstick I wanted to bring and couldn't find it, of course. I spent maybe 45 minutes searching for the at-large tube of lip balm (and Steve still married me after that!). I eventually found it, but not in time for that trip.
Today I lost an (utterly, ridiculously) insignificant item at work. I looked everywhere, even retracing my steps to the car, etc. During my search I stumbled across something I lost over a year ago--this earring! One of my favorites, and I still have the match! Funny thing is I bought a similar pair to replace them just last weekend. oh, the irony.

That is amazing you found it!!!
That doesn't say much for the cleaning crew at your office.
I am so glad to know that someone else goes crazy over losing things. It doesn't matter how small it is, it drives me nuts and my life is haulted until I find it. Aren't we grateful we have understanding husbands?!
We were at Charlie's elementary today and Daniel asked what the Lost & Found was. I told him it was where all the things go that people lose. He looked astonished and asked, "ALL the lost things?" He practically dove into the bin before I could explain that it wasn't really ALL the lost things, just the hats, coats, and gloves that kids at this particular school have lost. He was so hopeful.
