Every year when October rolls around I read all your blogs and admire the adorable pictures of you/your kids in pumpkin patches. Around here, there's no such thing as a pumpkin patch within reasonable driving distance for a 10-minute experience. The closest substitute we have is the display in front of the grocery store which could prove to be an awkward setting for pictures. This year I was excited to learn about a pumpkin patch set up on the lawn of St. Luke's church. So off we went:

When we rolled up to the "pumpkin patch" we found many other moms with kids doing the same thing I was about to do. We all got out our cameras and the air was filled with "Henry!" "Robert!" "Look over here!" "Sit on this pumpkin!" "Smile!". Clark LOVES other kids, so he was excited to be around so many fun friends, and spent our entire visit chasing them around and squealing with delight.
Here I am, holding him back from his pumpkin discovery and friend quest. ha ha.
In other news, my little pumpkin started giving walking a try last week. Just today he figured out how to stand up off the floor without holding onto anything. exciting stuff!
