Hello, Houston!

When Clark was younger I used to take him to the window in the morning, open the blinds, and say hello to Houston. Now he likes to look out the windows himself but there aren't any at his level that allow him to see much. Our closet stepstool is on loan to him for the time being so he can see out the window whenever he likes...which is quite often. He usually starts his window watching early in the morning:

We're lucky enough (?) to live right by a warehouse where we can see a forklift drive around all day. Forklifts are one of Clark's favorite machines.

Tech Savvy

Clark loves his technology. I've all but transferred ownership of my iPod touch to him since he thinks it's his anyway. He loves watching Sesame Street clips on youtube. A couple of days ago I caught him trying to climb my nightstand to get to my his precious iPod. Maybe he'll learn to use a camera soon and snap pics of Steve and me to post on our blog!

The No-Nap Lumberjack

Clark was channeling his inner lumberjack today so I took him to the park to play on all the new tree stumps...that used to be trees. boo for droughts. Normally I don't take pictures of our many trips to the park but after a long afternoon of a boy running on no nap I sought some camera therapy. It worked. Looking at these makes me remember all the sweet moments and laughs I had with Clark today--like reading books together, making faces at each other, listening to him say "mama" over and over, playing games, and riding the carousel at the zoo--instead of how most of his food was thrown on the floor and all those mini tantrums resultant from lack of sleep.

Allergy Humor

I stumbled across this video the other day and thought it would be fun to share. As a mother to a multiple food-allergic child, I appreciated that something allergy-related actually made me laugh!

Little Man

I loved how Clark looked in his Sunday outfit yesterday so I had to take him outside for a few quick pictures. We got lots of comments at church about how he looked like such a little man. This first picture is him practicing his GQ face.

Clark just mastered the skill of folding his arms yesterday. This is how I was reminded to pray this morning as I got ready for the day:

Perks

One of the perks Steve has at his job is the occasional Christmas gift from business customers. This cool car/truck combo was by far mine and Clark's favorite. I'm a little jealous of Clark's new toy, but as a mom I get to play with it just as much as he does. Someone needs to be on the other side of the car to roll it back to him, right?
