I'm officially another year older. and wiser, of course. This year for my birthday I was craving something very specific from Ruggles Cafe, a restaurant we visit once a year. Too bad for me I found out on my birthday that the restaurant shut down sometime after the last time we'd been there. doh! The second thing down on my list of cravings was something I'd had two years ago at Mia Bella. but too bad they don't have that item on the menu anymore. wow. Things were not looking good for a hungry pregnant lady with specific birthday cravings!
I ordered salmon, which I thought might prove to be a decent third choice but it was far too undercooked for this lady with a baby. Rather than send it back to the kitchen, Steve and I switched plates. We stopped at the grocery store on the way home to pick up a treat. I was really hoping to get some Blue Bell Mint Chocolate Chip but the store was all out of that flavor! When does that ever happen? never. So instead, I grabbed some Magnum bars while Steve picked out a few things for himself. Besides not finding the exact foods I was hoping to get that day, I had a marvelous birthday and date with my Steve.
